About the University

The Czech Technical University (ČVUT) is one of the oldest educational institutions in the world specializing in technical sciences.

The university was founded in 1707. Today, ČVUT is one of the best universities in the world (QS World University Rankings). In the world ranking of technical universities, ČVUT ranks 156th.

The university constantly supports programs for the further development of disciplines, scientific research, provides support for scientific endeavors and following global trends. More than 24,500 students study at eight faculties of the university.

Education is provided in 115 programs in 419 specialties. ČVUT students actively participate in international exchange programs. Each graduate of the master's program has spent at least 1 semester abroad. ČVUT graduates specialists in demand on the labor market with a good knowledge of foreign languages.
